David’s father died of HIV/AIDS and after his passing, he left his family in a single rented room. David lives with his mother, brother (Patrick) and one sister. His mother has no way to get money to look after her family so they live in poverty and sometimes find it difficult to get one meal a day. David’s education is in a critical stage because as he gets older, it becomes more important to attend consistently, which he has been unable to do becasue of the family’s circumstances. His irregular attendance has lead to poor performance in school. David wants to become an engineer, but this can only be achieved with support.
